Terms of use
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Who we are
PeaPool is run by Williams, an individual. In these terms, “we” and “us” means Williams, and “you” means anyone who uses PeaPool.
The way to reach us about anything, including these terms, is the support form on the Help page.
- Postal address: [Postal address — to be added before public launch]
- Email: [PeaPool contact email — added once PeaPool has its own domain]
Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account you agree to these terms and confirm you have read the Privacy policy. We record the date you agreed. If you don't agree, please don't use PeaPool.
What PeaPool is, and isn't
PeaPool is a platform for finding people to share an activity with. People post something they are doing, such as a lift, a run, a gym session or a game, and other people ask to join. We put you in touch.
- We are not a transport, fitness or sports provider. We don't provide vehicles, coaching or venues.
- Hosts and guests don't work for us, and we are not a party to any arrangement you make with someone you meet here.
- We don't check driving licences, insurance, vehicles or anyone's identity. The verified tick means only that a person proved they own their email address.
- We never handle money. Any payment goes directly between you and the other person, outside the app.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over. Accounts for anyone under 18 are not allowed, and we delete an account if we learn it belongs to someone under 18.
- Use your real name and keep your details accurate. One account per person.
- Keep your password and any sign-in links to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
Hosting
- Describe what you post honestly: when, where, how many places and what each costs.
- If you offer a lift, you must hold a valid driving licence, have insurance that covers the trip and drive a roadworthy vehicle.
- A price for a lift may only share the cost of the trip, such as fuel and tolls. You must not make a profit from giving lifts through PeaPool.
- Follow the law that applies to what you are hosting and where.
- If you can't go ahead, cancel in the app so the people booked are told.
Joining
- Only ask for places you intend to use, and withdraw if your plans change.
- Pay what was agreed, the way the host asked, if there is a price.
- Follow the host's reasonable instructions and the law.
Taking part
You arrange and take part in activities at your own risk and using your own judgement. Meet in public where you can, tell someone where you are going, and don't get into a vehicle or go anywhere you are not comfortable with. The Help & safety page has more advice.
Settling up
PeaPool never holds, moves or receives money. Payments are between you and the other person. The app only records what each of you says: the guest can mark that they sent a payment and the host can mark that it arrived. That record is not proof of payment.
A disagreement about money is between the people involved, and we can't recover payments or decide who is right. If someone is being dishonest or abusive, report them in the app or tell us through the support form, and our moderators will look at it.
How to behave
Don't use PeaPool to:
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone;
- discriminate against anyone, for example because of their race, ethnicity, religion, sex, disability or sexual orientation;
- defraud or scam anyone, or post fake activities;
- do anything illegal, or help anyone else to;
- send spam or advertising;
- pretend to be someone else, or run a fake profile;
- share anyone else's contact details, or use them for anything except the activity you share;
- put anyone in danger, including by driving unsafely.
Moderation and suspension
Anyone can report a person, an activity or a message, and anyone can block someone. Our moderators are volunteers or staff appointed by us, and may use the moderation tools only for safety and support.
If we think these terms have been broken, we may remove content, cancel activities and suspend the account. A suspended account can't post, join or message anyone; its upcoming activities are cancelled, its places on other people's activities are released, and the people affected are told. The person sees the reason we gave and can appeal through the appeal form on the suspension page. A moderator reviews the appeal and the person sees the outcome there.
What you post
What you write stays yours. By posting it, you give us permission to store it and show it to other people in the app, as the Privacy policy describes, for as long as we need to in order to run PeaPool. We don't use it for anything else, and we don't sell it.
Some of it outlives your account: messages you sent stay with the person who received them, and ratings keep their score. The Privacy policy sets out exactly what is kept and for how long.
Our responsibility to you
We provide PeaPool as it is, and we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows:
- we are not responsible for what happens between people who meet through PeaPool, at an activity or on the way to or from one;
- we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Leaving PeaPool
You can stop using PeaPool and delete your account at any time, from Settings. A suspended account can't be deleted from Settings; ask in your appeal on the suspension page instead. The Privacy policy explains what deleting removes and what is kept.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, as described above.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Before a material change, we will tell you by in-app notification and by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using PeaPool after that, you accept the new terms. For a material change, we will also ask you to accept the updated terms the next time you sign in. The date at the top always shows when the terms last changed.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
This doesn't take away any rights you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live. For example, if you live in the United Kingdom, you keep your rights under UK consumer law and UK data protection law.
